Born in Toronto, Canada, Jackie is obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with plans to pursue further education in the field. Currently, she is based part time in both Toronto and Israel, and looking forward to making Aliyah in her near future. Of Iraqi-Indian descent and a grandchild of Holocaust survivors, Jackie has a diverse Jewish background and a dynamic understanding of the collective Jewish identity and Diasporic experience.

“I am passionate about bridging the ideological divides within Israeli society and being an active participant in reconciliation efforts between Israelis and Palestinians. Since women are the educators of the next generation, I invest particular emphasis on the important role of women in building community and I aspire to create a space for positive and meaningful interaction while deepening the relationship between Jewish and Palestinian women.”
